S L O W I N G S

Slow beings slowing down, slow beings being slow, dancing as in a sloth attack. In a slow firework they explore inner and outer temporalities.

As a tribute to the slowed down tempo, S L O W I N G S dances through time. In the work, the audience is invited into the space by children to slow down together with the dancers, allowing slowness to take over and create space for quiet movements.

The work was created by Lisen Ellard in close collaboration with Mira Mutka, and is based on their many years of both individual and shared work on the theme of slowness. Slowness has permeated their respective artistry and choreographic qualities for a long time, resulting in several site-specific works. Ellard has also collaborated with the composer and musician Petter Granberg, who, in addition to his own compositions, also produced and composed music for, among others, El Perro del Mar and Mattias Alkberg.
